Project Brief

A beachfront residential development on Hayat Island shaped through a balance of density and openness, where architecture, landscape, and panoramic sea views flow as one harmonious experience.

Cascading terraced forms unfold toward the shoreline, creating a coastal living environment defined by a continuous dialogue with the sea.

Inspired by the rhythm and calm of the shoreline, Porto Playa was conceived as an architectural extension of the sea. Using Dynamo’s computational tools, the massing and orientation were shaped to maximize each residence’s connection to the horizon. Cascading terraces echo the movement of waves while warm natural materials and soft interior tones reinforce a seamless dialogue between architecture and the coastal setting.​

Flowing lines and layered terraces shape a sculptural form that fully opens to the horizon, celebrating sea and sky.

Sunlit, open spaces designed with subtle material warmth reflect the calm and sophistication of contemporary coastal living. 

Pools, lounges, and shared spaces flow together to create a seamless resort-inspired experience throughout the development. 

Design Development

From contextual studies to computational modeling, the design evolved through an analytical yet poetic process. ​

The project is raised on a podium housing parking and amenities, with residences above, enhancing upper-level views and offering glimpses of the sea from the lobby.

Layered terraces cascade like gentle waves, unfolding into outdoor spaces that capture the sea's rhythm and embrace Hayat Island's coastal landscape.

Cantilevered terraces shade the building and reduce solar gain, making environmental performance part of the architecture.
