Project Brief
Costa Mare draws inspiration from the mountains and coastal contours of Ras Al Khaimah, translating the region's dramatic topography into an iconic floating landscape where architecture, nature, and community rise together.
The challenge was to accommodate an unusually large GFA on a compact site while preserving openness, greenery, and a strong sense of place.
To resolve this, the design introduces a defining “horizon split” — an elevated landscape floor that transforms an entire level into a vibrant community hub. This floating terrain merges podium and sky amenities, bringing greenery, pools, and social spaces into one continuous experience. Sculptural voids, strategic orientation, and expressive slab edges give the massing a sense of lightness, shifting from solid to porous. Rooted in nature yet boldly contemporary, Costa Mare redefines coastal living through connection, elevation, and community life above the ground.
