Set on the shoreline of Marjan Island, Cala Del Mar was envisioned as an intimate beachfront community where every home could truly live with the sea.
The challenge was to open residences to sweeping views and natural light while keeping a sense of privacy and shaping a calm, contemporary coastal character.
The concept for Cala Del Mar centers on creating a serene, resident-focused coastal lifestyle shaped by light, views, and gentle architectural expression. Every design decision enhances the feeling of living with the sea — from the orientation of the homes to the flowing curves and horizontal lines that echo the softness of the coastline. The architecture aims to create harmony between privacy and openness, intimacy and expansiveness, indoors and outdoors. Together, these gestures establish a calm, contemporary environment where residents feel connected to the landscape, to one another, and to the rhythm of the shore.

Cala Del Mar balances aesthetics, functionality, and resident experience through its massing, setbacks, facade rhythm, and apartment layouts, framing sea views and layered coastal living.
Located on the edge of Marjan Island, the site offers uninterrupted sea views. The diagram shows access, plot boundaries, and nearby landmarks, situating Cala Del Mar within its coastal and urban context.
“On a small plot with incredible views, we explored multiple options for massing, parking, and façades, ultimately shaping horizontal soffits that mimic waves and provide privacy. Every decision — from circulation to amenities — was guided by one goal: maximizing vistas, comfort, and a true sense of community.”
